Discovering the Untouched Beauty of Iguazu Falls in Brazil and Argentina

Iguazu falls, located at the corner of Argentina, Brazil, and Paraguay, is a true natural wonder of the world. It's the largest broken waterfall in the world, hence the title of 275 Cascades. I've also seen Niagra Falls, which many north Americans think of when it comes to a large natural waterfall. This is next level....

After graduating from my graduate school, I was fortunate to have the opportunity to start my biopharmaceutical career. This was my first official career, working for a large fortune 500 company. My mission to get to every country in the world took a bit of a back seat at first to get my legs under me in this new direction. However, after my 2nd year, I won back-to-back awards for employee of the year and with it came some travel incentives! So, off I was to South America, traveling on my own across Brazil, Argentina, and Paraguay.

Brazil is an incredible country. Filled with diversity and vast differences across the country. My first stop was to Rio de Janeiro, where I had the chance to visit Christ the Redeemer, Maracana, and Sugarloaf Mountain. By far my favorite site, you capture the views of these large mountain tips jetting out of the water just off of Copacabana beach. From there, I had the chance to connect with my graduate school roommate in the city of Sao Paulo. The city is incredibly large, one of the largest in the world. I even thought that it felt larger than Los Angeles. However, each sub region had its own uniqueness to it. The city is alive with industrial activity, retail, and certainly feels the place to be when it comes to commerce for the country.

Iguazu is a short trip from the capital, in a remote location that connects Brazil, Argentina, and Paraguay. It has a very romantic feel to it, albeit I was there traveling on my own LOL. It's an absolutely stunning area of the world and a must to visit. There are two sites, the Brazilian side and the Argentinian side. Many Americans may try and compare this to Niagra, but it truly is not a comparison. The only other spot that I may remind me of is Victoria Falls in Africa. Both areas are simply breathtaking.

My trip wrapped up in Buenos Aires Argentina. A tremendous city with such vibrance and activity. I has the opportunity to take a few Nuevo Tengo lessons to avoid getting run over. I also had the opportunity to visit some of the local football stadiums, which are next level when it comes to passion of the sports. You'll notice that there are fences and barbed wire that go around the pitches to prevent the public from running the field. One of my favorite sites was the area of La Boca and La Caminito colorful areas, where you can witness street performances and tremendous Tengo dancers. Such an incredible trip, provided me the confidence that I would be able to continue on with my mission despite having the big boy job and career going. My next trip would push me into an area that I never even thought I would be able to get to. But once there, I would make several trips to the continent in the future.
